EarthCorps is a non-profit organization founded in 1993 with a mission to build a global community of leaders through local environmental service. Based in Seattle, Washington, EarthCorps brings together emerging environmental leaders from 80 countries to work on projects in the Puget Sound region and Cascade mountains. Backcountry trail work includes critical repairs to trails in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and other parts of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. Beginning in 2013, EarthCorps and the PCTA have had jointly scheduled projects. For these projects, the EarthCorps crew will hike in a few days before the PCTA crew to get camp set up and the project started. The PCTA crew will spend the first day backpacking into the project site and setting up personal camping gear. For the next 3 days the crew will work on the PCT. All of the group's meals, kitchen equipment, and base camp gear will be packed in by mules.
